Mohanlal`s Daughter Vismaya to Make Her Silver Screen Debut in Thudakkam

The Malayalam film industry is buzzing with excitement as Vismaya Mohanlal, daughter of legendary actor Mohanlal, is set to make her acting debut. She will step into the limelight with the upcoming film Thudakkam (The Beginning), directed by the acclaimed Jude Anthany Joseph. The announcement has created a wave of anticipation among fans, marking a new chapter for the celebrated Mohanlal family.
Jude Anthany Joseph, known for his blockbuster films like 2018 and Om Shanti Oshana, expressed his gratitude and sense of responsibility. In an emotional Instagram post, he shared his feelings about launching Vismaya. “This looks like an assignment. When my Lalettan and Suchi chechi`s first movie entrusted to me, the joy and hope filled in those eyes is what I saw. Laletta will not disappoint.. Sister...No more claims, just a little movie,” Joseph stated.
He further added, “I have done movies that my mind tells me everyday. It is still the same today. Antony brother, this is an "Antony-Jude" Sincerely wish it to be the "beginning". With the hope that dear audience will stand with us.”

Marking the special occasion, a proud Mohanlal took to Instagram to share his heartfelt wishes for his daughter. He wrote, “Dear Mayakutty, may your ‘Thudakkam’ be just the first step in a lifelong love affair with cinema.” The superstar’s public blessing was met with a flood of positive reactions from fans. Her 2021 book, Grains of Stardust, is a beautiful collection of her poetry and illustrations. Beyond her literary talents, Vismaya is a trained practitioner of the Thai combat sport, Muay Thai. With her brother, Pranav Mohanlal, already an established actor, Vismaya’s debut adds another dimension to her family`s rich cinematic legacy.
