Samay Raina India`s Got Latent Row
YouTuber and comedian Samay Raina has been summoned by the Maharashtra Cyber Cell and Mumbai Police in connection with the ongoing controversy surrounding his YouTube show India’s Got Latent. Authorities have directed him to appear for questioning within four days, by February 17, marking the second time he has been summoned this week.
As the controversy escalates, Mumbai Police have recorded statements from at least six individuals, including social media influencer Apoorva Makhija. Additionally, the Cyber Cell has filed cases against over 30 people and summoned more than 40 individuals, including participants and judges from previous episodes of India`s Got Latent.
Meanwhile, Guwahati Police have issued notices to popular influencers Ranveer Allahbadia and Ashish Chanchlani, instructing them to appear in Guwahati to record their statements regarding the case.

Amid growing scrutiny, Samay Raina has deleted all episodes of India’s Got Latent from his YouTube channel. In his first formal response since the controversy erupted, Raina expressed his distress over the situation. He stated, “Everything that is happening has been too much for me to handle. I have removed all India’s Got Latent videos from my channel. My only objective was to make people laugh and have a good time. I will fully cooperate with all agencies to ensure their enquiries are concluded fairly. Thank you.”
With the investigation intensifying and legal actions unfolding, it remains to be seen how the authorities will proceed. As more influencers and content creators face scrutiny, the case continues to highlight the growing accountability of digital personalities in India’s evolving media landscape.

Raina Requests More Time, Cyber Cell Denies Extension
Samay Raina has requested additional time to respond to the summons, stating that he is currently in the United States and will return only on March 17. However, the Cyber Cell has denied his request and insisted that he must appear before them on February 18.
