However, the latest release did not sit well with some. A user mentioned that Maa delivers an impact in parts, but as a whole, it doesn`t match up to the level of intrigue that Shaitaan created.
The review read, "The VFX and CGI shine; the first half is good, while the second half is better, but it fails to truly hook."

Rating :-
Maa is a decent watch with Kajol delivering a standout performance. The VFX and CGI shine, the first half is good, second half better, but it fails to truly hook. Unnecessary post-credit scene seems they forced to connect.#MaaReview #Maa #Kajol pic.twitter.com/7hRiAjSJua
Another X user`s mixed review read, "Kajol stuns in a mythological horror that blends emotion with eerie visuals. The first half is slow, but the emotional climax hits hard. A unique attempt with strong performances, especially from Kajol. Watch it for the mother`s roar."
