The makers of the upcoming historical drama released the trailer of Kesari 2 on Thursday. The 3-minute-long clip is all about revisiting the pain and trauma attached to the tragic event of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre.
For the uninitiated, the Jallianwala Bagh massacre was headlined by British general REH Dyer. It took place on April 13, 1919, when a huge crowd had gathered at Amritsar`s public ground to protest against the Rowlatt Act. General Dyer mercilessly ordered to open fire, killing thousands of innocent patriots.

Coming back to the trailer, Akshay Kumar plays the role of lawyer C. Sankaran Nair, a lawyer who is suing the British Empire for genocide. The film dives deep into the untold story of the massacre and Nair`s determination as he challenges the British Empire over the massacre.
However, just when you feel Akshay is going to defend the Englishmen, R. Madhavan (Neville McKinley) walks in as the opponent lawyer to protect the Crown. The trailer also introduces Ananya Panday, who is studying law in the UK.
Kesari 2`s trailer rides on an emotional roller coaster of pain, tragedy, hurt, unyielding resolve, the fight for justice, patriotism, and everything in between.
