Helmed by Gauri Shinde, Dear Zindagi is one of Alia Bhatt's acclaimed and praised movies. However, did you know Alia Bhatt was not the first choice for the movie? Karan Johar and Shahrukh Khan convinced Gauri Shinde to give actress a chance to lead the film. Do you know which Bollywood actress was the first choice?

In a throwback video with Bollywood film critic Rajeev Masand, Alia revealed that she has replaced an actress. Masand was seen asking Alia about the fact that another Bollywood actress was supposed to star opposite Shah Rukh Khan in Dear Zindagi. He also told her that it was SRK and KJo who persuaded Gauri Shinde to cast the mommy-to-be for the main role. In response to that, Alia admitted to the fact that she knew another actress was to star in Dear Zindagi but denies knowing about Shah Rukh and Karan's request to the director.

Alia said, "I know that there was someone else on board earlier. And then there was a conversation about the film maybe going to me. That's all I know. And the next thing I know that Gauri came to me and we were on board. Now, I don't know whether she got convinced... Maybe because I was young, but it's okay because sometimes your director has to see things a little differently."

The video got negative and mean responses from the audience for hijacking other actors' projects to her name. We guess nepotism and Karan Johar somehow go hand in hand, literally.

There were rumors that the first choice of the movie was Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt replaced her in the movie.
