Mom to two, Ileana D`Cruz shares her postpartum journey and keeping kids away from paparazzi
Ileana D`Cruz is one of the finest, most versatile actresses in the Indian film industry. But apart from being a popular name, she is a doting mother to two adorable sons, Koa and Keanu. She has always been vocal about mental health and the challenges that came along with her two pregnancies.
For the uninitiated, the Baadshaho actress welcomed her second child with her husband, Michael Dolan. They named their second son Keanu Rafe Dolan.
In a recent interview, Ileana opened up about facing postpartum depression after having her second baby, the couple`s decision to keep their children away from media and the paparazzi, and parenting their own way.

The Barfi diva, in an interview with NDTV, said, "What is nice the second time around is that you have sort of been through the drill; you know what to expect, especially with the delivery process. I was very clear, and I wanted to do things differently. I wanted to be a little crazy. I said I`m going to go unmedicated this time. I`m not going to do the epidural. I told my nurse that we need to come up with a plan, and it was great because she worked with me.”

"The first time, you`re trying to come to terms with everything. It`s like you`ve gone from being a single woman to suddenly you`ve given birth, and now you`ve got to take care and ensure this baby is healthy and surviving and thriving," she continued.
The doting mother to two further added, "But the second time, it`s not just the baby; it`s the baby, it`s your toddler, it`s you. It`s all those factors. It`s trying to figure out yourself physically and get your strength back, and the new mental space is completely messed up. So it`s incredibly hard. And even though I was aware of what was going to happen, I think mentally it`s just been very difficult.”

Ileana is one of those actresses who has always kept her personal life away from the mainstream media and paparazzi. She journaled her first pregnancy with on-and-off glimpses on Instagram but revealed her husband`s identity after a long time.
Despite much speculation, the actress has always been tight-lipped about her marriage and kids and keeping it all away from the paparazzi.
When asked why, she said, “It would definitely have been hard for me to be photographed with my babies. It would just be incredibly confusing for them. And it’s not fair to them because they wouldn’t understand what is going on. I would not be okay with it."
For the uninitiated, Ileana D`Cruz and Michael Dolan tied the knot in 2023 after dating for over a year.
