The excitement is palpable as superstar Hrithik Roshan gears up to reprise his iconic role as RAW agent Major Kabir Dhaliwal in Yash Raj Films`s highly anticipated "War 2". The recently unveiled teaser, dropped on May 20, has sent fans into a frenzy, offering a glimpse of the high-octane action and a formidable new antagonist played by Jr NTR, with Kiara Advani starring opposite Roshan.
The film, directed by Ayan Mukerji and produced by Aditya Chopra, promises a visual extravaganza with six major action sequences filmed across five countries over an extensive 150-day schedule.
For Roshan, stepping back into the shoes of Kabir is more than just a role; it`s a passion. “I have always been a huge fan of the action genre since I was a kid, and I really have fun whenever I do films like War 2," he revealed. "So, for me, I had the best time reliving Kabir—a character that has given me love from all quarters for years now.”

This upcoming film marks the sixth instalment in YRF`s ambitious spy universe, which already boasts blockbusters like Salman Khan`s "Tiger" series and Shah Rukh Khan`s "Pathaan". The universe is set to expand further with "Alpha", starring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari.
Roshan is eagerly looking forward to the audience`s response when the film hits theatres. “I’m delighted and humbled by the love and feedback that War 2 is getting right from the start of our campaign,” he said. “I can’t wait to see the reaction of people when they see War 2 on the big screen.”
War 2 is scheduled for a grand theatrical release in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu on August 14, 2025.
