The first single of Thalapathy Vijay's upcoming film 'The Greatest of All Time' was released yesterday on the occasion of the Tamil New Year. The song features the 'Varisu' actor dancing to the upbeat and peppy number 'Whistle Podu' alongside dancing powerhouses Prabhudeva, Prashanth, and Ajmal Ameer. Whistle Podu' is a five-minute lyrical video with a one-minute sneak peek of the music video at the end.

The song is inspired by Chennai's cricket team anthem, 'Whistle Podu'. The song is a celebration of friendship and features vocals by Thalapathy Vijay, Venkat Prabhu, Yuvan Shankar Raja, and Premgi Amaren. The song has been composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja, while the lyrics have been penned by the popular writer of RRR and Baahubali, Madhan Karky.

The lyrical video features behind-the-scenes footage of the song's shooting with the powerful dancing trio. In the last minute of the music video, there is an energetic dance break where the actors perform some intense moves.

Notably, GOAT will be Thalapathy Vijay's penultimate film before he fully embarks on a political career. Interestingly, there's an Easter egg in the song that hints at this. The first line of the song is 'Party onnu thodangatuma?' which translates to 'Shall we begin the party?', possibly hinting at his political involvement. In addition, the words 'campaign' and 'champagne' are played with in a small conversation between Thalapathy Vijay and Prabhudeva.

The film is scheduled to release on September 5, on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi. GOAT is rumoured to be inspired by the Hollywood film Looper, which will star Thalapathy Vijay in a double role. The film falls into the sci-fi genre and will have themes like action and time travel. The 'Leo' actor may play a younger and an older version of himself, who also happen to be the hero and the villain.

GOAT is directed by Venkat Prabhu and produced on a big budget by Kalpathi S Aghoram, Kalpathi S Ganesh, and Kalpathi S Suresh of AGS Entertainment. The Greatest of All Time will also be the first collaboration between Venkat Prabhu and Vijay. The upcoming film stars Meenakshi Chaudhary, Prabhudeva, Prashanth, Sneha, Laila, Jayaram, Mohan, Vaibhav, and Premgi Amaren in pivotal roles. The film has been shot all over the world in various locations, like Turkey, Bangkok, and Los Angeles. The film is currently shooting in Russia. Thalapathy Vijay plans to work on his last film, Thalapathy71, right after the completion of GOAT.
