Shah Rukh Khan and Vicky Spoke of Katrina on sets of Dunki
Dunki is all set to release on December 21, and the advance booking for the film has started to show signs of the Rajkumar Hirani film becoming a blockbuster. The film also stars Vicky Kaushal, and he also has some scenes with Shah Rukh Khan in the film. In a recent promotional event for the film, Shah Rukh Khan revealed how Vicky and he would talk about Katrina during the shoot.
"I married Katrina soon; otherwise, I would have married you," Vicky Kaushal to SRK.
During the event, Shah Rukh Khan spoke highly of Vicky Kaushal and shared some funny anecdotes from the shoot of the film. He said, "Classrooms ke jo scenes hain... iske ander ek aisa scene hai jaha main nimbu brother ban chuka hu Vicky Kaushal ka. Log blood brothers bante ha, main nimbu brothers ban chuka hu. In classroom scenes, I become the lemon brother of Vicky. (People usually are blood brothers, but we became lemon brothers.)
Further, he added how Vicky Kaushal had phoned him a couple of times and said, "Ek do baar toh usne mujhe phone kar ke bhi bola ki `Katrina se maine jaldi shaadi kar li... agar shaadi nahi ki hoti toh main aap se kar leta! (A couple of times, he even called me to say, `I married Katrina too soon; otherwise, I would have married you for sure.`)
Further, in an even more crackling instance, Rajkumar Hirani spoke about how he was surprised during one scene where Shah Rukh Khan licked a lemon and then passed it to Vicky, who did the same. Shah Rukh Khan jokingly said that even now, when they meet, they share the same lemon.
Apart from this, Shah Rukh Khan was all praise for Vicky Kaushal and called his performance in Dunki to be the best. Even in the trailer, Vicky Kaushal promises an engaging performance as he mouths a dialogue invoking all sorts of feelings. It remains to be seen what his role would be like in the film and how much screen time he gets.
Vicky Kaushal has previously worked with Rajkumar Hirani in Sanju, starring Ranbir Kapoor, where he played the role of his dear friend Kamli. He received a lot of praise for his performance, and since then, he has gotten many mainstream roles in films.
Dunki releases on December 21, which is a Thursday, and clashes with Salaar, which is set to release on Friday, December 22.
