Deepika Padukone Becomes First Indian Star To Receive Hollywood Walk Of Fame

Deepika Padukone to be honored with Hollywood Walk of Fame
Deepika Padukone is one of those Indian stars who enjoys massive global stardom. She is equally loved in the West, especially after being a part of XXX: Return of Xander Cage. Now, it`s a proud moment for India, as the actress has been chosen to be honoured with a Hollywood Walk of Fame star in the coming year.
On Wednesday, Deepika`s name, along with other notable individuals from the world of motion pictures, recordings, television, live theatre/live performance, and sports entertainment, was announced at a live conference from Ovation, Hollywood.
Singer-actress Miley Cyrus, Timothée Chalamet, Hollywood actress Emily Blunt, French actress Marion Cotillard, Canadian actress Rachel McAdams, Italian actor Franco Nero, and celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay are also on the list of recipients.

The honourees were chosen by the selection panel of the Walk of Fame of the Hollywood Chambers of Commerce from "hundreds" of nominations. A meeting was held on June 20 to select the final list. On June 25, the Chambers` board of directors officially accepted by voting.
Peter Roth, former chairman of Warner Bros. Television and chairman of the Walk of Fame selection committee, said, "We are excited to announce the newest selections of 35 esteemed individuals who will be enshrined on the Walk of Fame as part of the prestigious Class of 2026."
"These talented individuals have made significant contributions to the world of entertainment, and we are thrilled to honour them with this well-deserved recognition," he further added.
Deepika Padukone`s Hollywood journey
The Cocktail actress made her Hollywood debut with the 2017 release XXX: Return of Xander Cage. The movie also starred Vin Diesel, Nina Dobrev, Samuel Jackson, and Donnie Yen in pivotal roles.

Serena Unger, the character she portrayed, garnered immense admiration from the public. Notably, she has also been featured on TIME`s 100 most influential list and Variety`s International Women`s Impact Report.
She also made her sensational appearances at Cannes and the Met Gala in the past years. Apart from this, Deepika Padukone became the first ever Indian star to be signed by global luxury fashion houses like Louis Vuitton and Cartier.
On the work front, she was last seen in Singham Again and Kalki 2898 AD. Reports suggest Deepika has been roped in for Allu Arjun`s next with Atlee and Shah Rukh Khan`s starrer King.
