The newly released trailer for "Criminal Justice: A Family Matter" plunges viewers straight into Madhav Mishra`s latest challenge. He is approached by Anju Nagpal (Surveen Chawla) after her husband, Dr. Raj Nagpal (Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub), is arrested for the murder of his girlfriend, Roshni Saluja (Asha Negi). As Mishra delves into the case, he reassures his client, stating, “I am your sword, steed and shield in this battle.”
Dr. Nagpal maintains his innocence, claiming he was trying to save Roshni, not harm her, even as we see a glimpse of him holding her blood-soaked body. However, as the investigation progresses, more secrets about Raj`s affair surface. Inspector Gauri`s questioning of neighbours reveals acknowledgements of the extramarital relationship, with one witness remarking, “People like Raj don’t leave their wives; they just have minor transgressions.”
