Chiyaan Vikram Looks Unrecognizable In The Thangalaan Making Video Released On His Birthday, WATCH

On Tamil superstar Chiyaan Vikram`s birthday, the makers of his upcoming movie Thangalaan shared a making video of his character, and the actor looks unrecognizable. On Monday, the video gave fans a glimpse of the world of Vikram`s character in the upcoming action-drama, inspired by the true events of the story that revolves around the mine workers in Kolar Gold Field.

Helmed by Pa Ranjith, Thangalaan marks his first collaboration with Chiyaan Vikram. The actor will be seen playing the leader of a small tribe. Taking it to Twitter, Ranjith released a new poster as well as a making video.
He wrote, “Happy birthday to my Thangalaan, @chiyaan sir. Presenting you a slice of flesh, a grand making visual video of Thangalaan as our humble tribute to Chiyaan (sic).”

The video gives a sneak peek into the world of Thangalaan. It predominantly revolves around Vikram`s character after a few initial shots. The cameraman then follows the actor as he gets into the skin of the character, quite literally. For the role, Vikram has undergone a drastic physical transformation. Not only did he lose a tremendous amount of weight but has also had to shred muscles to look lean.
He has even shaved the front portion of his head to sport a half-shaved look with a man bun. Also starring Parvathy and Malivka Mohanan in pivotal roles, Thangalaan will release later this year.

Looking at his almost unrecognizable transformation, fans reacted to the video. A user commented, “What a making video. We can expect an epic of a film (sic).” While another one wrote, “A combo that’s got us rightly excited with this video. Stoked for Thangalaan (sic).”
Currently, Vikram is gearing up for Mani Ratnam`s upcoming magnum opus Ponniyin Selvan 2. He plays the role of Chola King Aditha Karikalan. The movie also stars Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Trisha Krishnan, Sobhita Dhulipala, and Prakash Raj, among others.
