Vicky Kaushal’s highly anticipated historical drama Chhaava is all set to hit the big screens on February 14. Directed by Laxman Utekar, the film has been generating buzz, with trade experts closely monitoring its advance booking trends. He further added, “As for expectations—on the first day, a double-digit opening is expected since it’s being projected as a big movie. I’d say somewhere between Rs 10–15 crore.” Given these predictions, Chhaava is eyeing a solid opening weekend, provided the momentum sustains.

On Sunday, Vicky Kaushal took to social media to share glimpses of his intense preparation for Chhaava. The actor posted a series of pictures and videos showcasing his rigorous training, including gym sessions, horse riding, and wielding a stick with precision. He captioned the post, “Good old #Chhaava prep days! See you all on 14th Feb. WORLDWIDE ADVANCE BOOKINGS ARE NOW OPEN!” This sneak peek into his dedication has further fuelled excitement among fans.
Speaking about the film’s reception in India, Chauhan stated, “The Maharashtra market will be key. If the film secures strong openings there, it could drive the overall numbers, similar to how other films centred around Shivaji Maharaj have performed well in the region.”
He further added, “The film is about a Maratha warrior, and the Maharashtra crowd seems eager to watch it. There appears to be a strong buzz as the release date approaches. However, it’s too early to predict the final outcome. The audience is currently engaged with re-releases and last week’s new films, so we will get a clearer picture of Chhaava`s box office potential closer to the release date. That being said, it is one of the biggest films of 2025, so expectations are high.”
