Vicky Kaushal takes on the role of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the eldest son of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, founder of the Maratha Empire. Sambhaji ascended to the throne in 1681 following his father’s death, becoming the second Maratha emperor. The film showcases Sambhaji waging war against the Mughal Empire, ruled by Emperor Aurangzeb, portrayed by Akshaye Khanna.
