Malayalam Actor Asif Ali`s Recovery Journey For Tiki Taka
Popular Malayalam actor Asif Ali is one of the most loved superstars in the industry. After Rekhachithram, he is all set to entertain cinephiles with his power-packed action drama, Tiki Taka. However, did you know Ali suffered a severe injury while shooting for the film?
The actor crossed all leaps and bounds to make a sensational transformation for his role as John Denver in Tiki Taka. In his transformation journey, Asif Ali injured himself severely, which left him bedridden for months.
In his latest social media post, he penned a rather lengthy and emotional note about his journey to recovery, his phenomenal physical transformation for the role, and how an accident in 2023 left him incapacitated for months together.
His caption started with, "Dear Family, When John Denver came to me, I was instantly in love with the fighter in him – his resilience, the way he endures through challenges, and how he always refuses to give up. Little did I know that my journey with the character would take me through a similar path on a personal level."
He further added, “Eighteen months later, we’re rolling in full swing again, and I’ve endured the process once more to meet what the movie demands – more sweat and blood – this time with a healing leg from meniscus and ligament tears."
The Thalavan actor concluded by saying,“‘Tikitaka’ will be all yours by the end of this year. Before that, I can’t resist sharing my excitement about what we’re working on. This movie demands a lot of conviction and effort, not just from the actors but everyone involved. While Malayalam cinema is enjoying a golden wave, we’re attempting to provide a never-before experience – to create an unapologetic commercial cinema for the mass euphoria of the big screen, loaded with action. I expect all the support from those who love cinema.”
Helmed by Rohith VS, Tiki Taka will see a theatrical release on Christmas 2025. The film boasts a stellar star cast of Wamiqa Gabbi, Lukman Avaran, Sanchana Natarajan, Harisree Asokan, and Santhosh Prathap.
