Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli put a full stop to all the rumors, as they actually turned out to be true. The couple welcomed their second child, a baby boy, on February 15. They named the little one Akaay.
Yet another unique name in the Sharma-Kohli family, the actor-cricketer couple kept their second pregnancy away from the public eye. Both Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma refrained from commenting on the
pregnancy speculation and were tight-lipped throughout.
While reports of them delivering their second child in London were catching up on the internet, the couple took social media by storm as they announced the rather pleasant news of them embracing parenthood for the second time.
The couple already shares a daughter, Vamika Kohli, who was born in 2021.
It's a boy for Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma
On Tuesday, the power couple took to Instagram and shared a post announcing the birth of their second child, a boy named Akaay. Kohli made the big announcement on social media and requested privacy.
They were equally private when Vamika was born. Both Virat and Anushka even requested fans and paparazzi not to photograph their daughter. It would be no different this time as well.

former Indian skipper wrote, "With abundant happiness and our hearts all filled with love, we are pleased to inform everyone that on February 15th, we welcomed our baby boy Akaay and Vamika's little brother into this world!"

Anushka Sharma on embracing motherhood
Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma tied the knot in December 2017. Three years into their marriage, they welcomed their first child, a daughter,
Vamika Kohli, in January 2021.
Ever since her birth, motherhood has drastically changed the actress. In an old interview, she recalled how filming her upcoming movie, Chakda Xpress, barely gave her enough time with her daughter.
"The entire last year went into filming Chakda. I'd finish shooting and would have only that much time to spend time with my daughter, feed her dinner, follow her night-time routine, and go to bed early soon after her. I don't think I found time to do anything else. I'm okay with doing more movies, but only if it's worth taking my time out for and if it makes sense. I don't want to do movies just to stay in the game I'm very clear about that. It would have to be a film like Chakda," said Anushka.
