Alia Bhatt upset over media circulating videos of her new under-construction home
There are times when media blurs the line of privacy of celebrities only because they are a public figure. Alia Bhatt is yet again upset with the media after videos of her new under-construction home were circulated all over social media.
She slammed news publications, paparazzi pages, and social media accounts for taking videos and pictures of her new home in Mumbai without her `consent`.
For the uninitiated, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor will soon be moving into their new residence in Mumbai`s Bandra area with their daughter, where they are building a lavish and opulent multi-storeyed mansion.
Alia Bhatt calls out for invasion of privacy
The Brahmastra actress began her note with, “I understand that in a city like Mumbai, space is limited – sometimes the view from your window is another person’s home. But that does not give anyone the right to film private residences and push those videos online."

"Multiple publications have recorded and circulated a video of our still-under-construction home without our knowledge or consent," she continued. This is a clear invasion of privacy and a serious security issue."
She also went on to mention how the act was not only ridiculous but also unlawful and added, “Filming or photographing someone’s personal space without permission is not ‘content’ – it’s a violation. It should never be normalised.”
“Think about it: would you tolerate videos of the inside of your home being shared publicly, without you knowing? None of us would. So here’s a humble but firm request – if you come across such content online, please don’t forward it or share it further. And to our friends in the media who have carried these images and videos: I urge you to take them down immediately,” Alia concluded.
Fans support Alia Bhatt`s post
As soon as the post went up, the Jigra actress`s fans came out and supported her. Some even suggested suing the parties involved in sharing photos and videos of her new abode.
One comment read, “You should sue so in the future it doesn`t happen; this is the second time that I know of.” Previously, a media house tried to click Alia Bhatt sitting in her bedroom, relaxing by the window.
Another fan wrote, “Without consent, if recorded, it should be a legal case, but on the other hand, never allow any media to cover anyone; privacy is privacy, respect privacy.”
The much-discussed video showed a close view of Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor`s Bandra home from another building. The couple owns multiple floors in the apartment where they will live with Raha Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor.
