Akshay Kumar escapes car accident scare in Juhu
Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar was thrust into an unexpected road drama late Monday night when one of the vehicles from his security convoy was involved in a serious traffic accident in Mumbai’s upscale Juhu area - sending shockwaves across social media and reigniting attention on celebrity road safety.
The incident occurred at around 9 pm, near Mukteshwar Road, when a speeding Mercedes suddenly rammed into an auto-rickshaw, propelling it into a nearby vehicle from Akshay Kumar’s escort convoy.
According to police sources, the auto then collided with the actor’s convoy Innova, severely damaging the vehicles involved.
Despite the alarming visuals and the brutal impact on metalwork, both Akshay Kumar and his wife, Twinkle Khanna - who were travelling in a different car ahead of the convoy - escaped the accident without injuries.

Officials on the scene told reporters that the auto-rickshaw driver was injured during the collision and was rushed to a nearby hospital for urgent treatment.

Police have confirmed that a case has been registered against the Mercedes driver for “rash and negligent driving”, and further investigations are underway.
Eyewitnesses described chaos immediately after the crash. Some even claimed that Akshay himself exited his vehicle to assist those affected by the collision - helping pull the injured driver and passenger from the wreckage before emergency services arrived.
“It was frightening to witness,” one witness told local media, adding that luck played a big role in ensuring there were no fatalities.
