After Hrithik Roshan, Ali Fazal Was The Makers' Choice For The Night Manager Remake

-

The Night Manager remake is one of the much anticipated Hindi remakes. The original is an extremely popular British spy thriller web series that stars Tom Hiddleston. Earlier, it was reported that Hrithik Roshan will be seen playing the lead role in the series. After the rumors of Hrithik Roshan quitting, soon Aditya Roy Kapur has been brought on board.

There are reports that after Hrithik and before Aditya Roy Kapur, Mirzapur fame actor Ali Fazal was approached by the makers. A source said, 'Ali was approached soon after Hrithik couldn't do the project. The team was figuring out the perfect schedule to ensure the project starts on time, however, it was getting stuck between dates. Ali was already committed to doing Vishal Bhardwaj's Khufiya and then also season 3 of Mirzapur and hence owing to these issues, he eventually had to let go of The Night Manager remake.'

On the work front, Ali will be seen playing an intelligence officer in Vishal Bhardwaj's next and will also be seen in the Hollywood action drama, Kandahar. The actor has the third installment of Fukrey and the third season of Mirzapur in his pipeline.

A remake of the British spy thriller has been in the works for quite a few years now. However, it was delayed due to the pandemic, and by rumors that Hrithik Roshan would no longer be a part of it. It is not clear when the series will be put on floors.
