-

3 Idiots fame Akhil Mishra, who played the Librarian Dubey, passes away in an accident at 67. His wife, Suzanne Bernert, confirmed the news. A friend close to the couple shared that the actor had been unwell for quite some time due to blood pressure issues. He was on a stool in the kitchen, trying to grab something, when he reportedly fell down and hurt his head.

Akhil Mishra was rushed to the hospital after he was found lying in a pool of blood. Even after all the efforts by the doctors, he couldn't survive and succumbed to death.

Suzanne Bernert was in Hyderabad shooting for a project when she was informed about the sad news. She rushed back home and has been in shock ever since.

Who was Akhil Mishra?

The actor became a household name after he appeared in Rajkumar Hirani's 3 Idiots as Librarian Dubey. His dialogue, "Permenant hoon sir," became meme material. He had many such witty and bone-tickling one-liners.

He has also been a prominent part of movies like Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi, Well Done Abba, Calcutta Mail, and Shah Rukh Khan's Don. He has also done some incredible work on television in daily soaps like Do Dil Bandhe Ek Dori Se, Uttaran, Pardes Mein Mila Koi Apna, and Shrimaan Shrimati.

Suzanne Bernert recalls Akhil Mishra teaching her Hindi

The German actress was last seen in The Accidental Prime Minister. She recently spoke about how her husband put his career on hold to help her learn fluent Hindi so she could get better roles.

She said, 'All the characters that I played were foreigners who needed an accent. Fluency suddenly became an issue with my show Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat, as I needed to be perfect, and my husband gave all his time and put his career on hold to help me on a daily basis to speak Shudh Hindi.'

Radio City extends heartfelt condolences to the late actor's family. Rest in peace, Akhil Mishra.
