Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor starrer Brahmastra is soon to release. Ahead of which, Ayan Mukerji along with Alia and Ranbir visited Ujjain to seek blessings at Mahakaleshwar Temple. However, the actors were stopped outside the temple. Protestors didn't allow them to enter the temple citing Ranbir's past comment on beef. However, Ayan Mukerji visited the temple alone to seek the blessings of Lord Shiva before the release of Brahmastra. The protestors also started fighting with police personnel to prevent Alia and Ranbir's entry inside the temple.

Ujjain CSP Om Prakash Mishra said, "We were making arrangements as some VIPs were about to visit Mahakaleshwar temple. During which some people started gathering here to protest against them. One of the protesters started fighting with police officers.'

Ayan took Instagram to share a photo and in the caption, he wrote, '3 DAYS AWAY (from Brahmastra release)hellip Feel very happy and energized to have visited Mahakaleshwar Temple todayhellip Got the most beautiful darshanhellip Wanted to make this visit to close the film-making journey on Brahmastra, and to get all the positive energy and blessings for our release.'

For the unversed, in 2011, while promoting his film Rockstar, Ranbir stated, 'My family is from Peshawar, so a lot of Peshawari food has come with them. I am a mutton, paya, and beef fan. Yeah, I am a big beef fan." The old video has resurfaced ahead of the release of Brahmastra which leads to this situation.

Even a few days back, Alia had said that those who want to see her film Brahmastra should watch it while others who are not keen, shouldn't.

Along with Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy, and Nagarjuna Akkineni will be seen in important roles. Rumors are that Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone are also expected to make a cameo in the movie.
