120 Bahadur to screen for soldiers ahead of wide release
The highly anticipated war drama 120 Bahadur, starring Farhan Akhtar, is set to break new ground. Beginning November 21, the film will be screened in more than 800 defence cinema halls across India—a first for any Bollywood production.
Produced by Excel Entertainment and Trigger Happy Studios in collaboration with PictureTime and GenSync Brat Media, this rollout aims to bring the magic of big-screen storytelling straight to soldiers and their families, especially those stationed in remote outposts.
PictureTime’s mobile cinema network — typically deployed for remote locations — is being used to reach defence bases and cantonments nationwide.
Sushil Chaudhary, Founder-CEO of PictureTime, explained that though India has about 1.5 million active service members and a veteran-plus-family audience numbering around 20 million, just 30 per cent currently have access to defence cinemas.

This release is a conscious effort to bridge that gap and ensure that military families get to experience this cinematic tribute.
Vishal Ramchandani, CEO of Excel Entertainment, expressed the team’s heartfelt sentiment: “120 Bahadur honours the courage and sacrifice of our armed forces. We feel truly privileged that the soldiers whose spirit the film celebrates will be watching it with their families.”
Directed by Razneesh “Razy” Ghai, 120 Bahadur tells the stirring story of the Battle of Rezang La, a pivotal moment in India’s military history.
The ensemble cast features Farhan Akhtar as Major Shaitan Singh Bhati, alongside Raashii Khanna, Sparsh Walia, Vivan Bhatena, Dhanveer Singh, Digvijay Pratap, Sahib Verma, Ankit Siwach, and others—bringing depth and authenticity to this tribute.
The significance of this rollout cannot be understated. By screening 120 Bahadur in defence theatres first, the filmmakers are not just making a powerful statement — they are offering a shared cultural moment for those who sacrifice for the nation every day.
This historic premiere is not just about entertainment; it`s about recognition, respect, and bringing the story of unsung heroes to the very people they represent.
With its nationwide defence-theatre launch, 120 Bahadur is not just a film — it`s a heartfelt salute to India’s soldiers, their bravery, and the sacrifices they make.
