Bizarre as it may sound, the Mathura police have claimed that rats ate up over 500 kilograms of Marijuana. According to a report submitted by Mathura Police to a special Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act 1985 court, rats ate over 500 kg of Marijuana which was stored in the warehouses of Shergarh and Highway Police Stations.

The court has fixed November 26 as the next date of hearing in the case and ordered police officials to provide evidence for the same. Police officials further informed the court that the rats are small in size and don't fear the police.
