When discussing his role in the Rajkumar Hirani film Dunki, Vicky Kaushal revealed that he personally approached Hirani to be a part of the project. Kaushal's father, Sham Kaushal, served as the film's action director and inquired about who would be involved in the fire scene. Hirani expressed interest in working with 'someone like Vicky Kaushal' for that particular scene.
