About Shreegauri Sawant

Born in Pune, Gauri Sawant is the founder of the Sakhi Char Chowghi Trust. She was one of the petitioners to file the NALSA case in 2013. Her struggle led the Supreme Court to recognize transgender people as the third and legitimate gender in society. This move was passed in 2014.

She has adopted several homeless and orphan children. Be it a sex worker's child or a transgender kid, the activist has opened her doors for everyone who is different and special.

Taali will start streaming on JioCinema on August 15.
