It is known as one of the biggest blockbusters of Indian cinema.The movie earned the honor at the 95th Academy Awards when surprisingly, Naatu Naatu received the Oscars for Best Original Song. The composer of the song MM Keeravaani and lyricist Chandrabose received the prestigious award.Interestingly, the film also gained the Golden Globes and Critics Choice Awards. SS Rajamouli who is still praised for his latest directed film has confirmed that the sequel of the Oscar-winning action film is in progress.Rajamouli also revealed that he and his father, V Vijayendra Prasad never planned to create a sequel while making the first film. Even though they shared some ideas after the initial success of the movie, they eventually decided not to pursue them.

Yet, when the possibility of a sequel surfaced again following the movie's success at the international level, Rajamouli elucidated that his cousin M. M. Keeravani, who is one of the members of his core team, proposed an idea that they thought was amazing and worth following.

2. Gossip About the Plot Of RRR 2:

RRR is a mythical story inspired by the lives of two real freedom fighters, Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komuram Bheem. There are buzzes that the sequel of RRR will have a distinct story based on the pre-Independence era of the Telugu states.While Ram Charan and Jr NTR may repeat their roles, the sequel might not be a direct continuation of the previously released RRR. However, there's no confirmation by the officials about the plot, and the filmmakers will only demonstrate details about the plot and characters after they finalize the screenplay.

SS Rajamouli disclosed that his father and screenwriter, Vijayendra Prasad, is presently working on the story, which will portray the revolutionary heroes in another epic war against the British colonizers. As per the reports of a leading media agency, he revealed,'My father is the story writer for all my films. We discussed a bit about ['RRR 2'] and he's working on the story."
