Subhash Ghai's 1989 hit was an iconic movie for it gave us a superstar bromance between Jackie Shroff and Anil Kapoor. After months of keeping the audience guessing on who would reprise the roles of Ram and Lakhan in Rohit Shetty's remake, we have learnt that the makers have roped in Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh.While Shahid will essay the role of Ram in the film, Ranveer can happily dance to Anil's tunes.A source was quoted telling, "Out of all the names being tossed for Lakhan39s part, Ranveer was the first choice. Also, last year Anil Kapoor, who played Lakhan, had said that Ranveer was perfect for the role. As for Ram39s character, it was decided that Shahid would be an ideal pick. The actors, however, have not signed on the dotted line."However the hunt is on for the female leads who will reprise the roles of Madhuri Dixit and Dimple Kapadia.Rohit Shetty is collaborating for the first time with Karan Johar in association with Ghai for the remake.While Shahid is wrapping up 'Rangoon', Ranveer is filming his 'Befikre' in Paris.
