The television actor was found dead in his Meerut home on Tuesday, April 22. He hanged himself to death amid financial crisis and emotional stress.
Manchanda was 48 years old when he passed away. As per reports by a leading news channel, local authorities have confirmed he died by suicide.
However, no suicide note was found from the scene, and preliminary reports do not suggest any signs of foul play or third-party involvement.
Who was Lalit Manchanda?
The television actor played side roles in popular TV shows like Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, Crime Patrol, and Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, among others.
His performance in DD`s Sevanchal Ki Premkatha as a father was also well received. Lalit Manchanda was working on a web series shortly before his death.
