Kingdom movie

Director Gowtam Tinnanuri, best known for films like Jersey, took a big leap into the realm of spy and action thrillers with Kingdom.

The film`s bold narrative revolves around political drama with high-octane espionage. Vijay Deverakonda braces for a restrained and intense role.

Kingdom review: Watch or Skip?

Deverakonda owns Kingdom. Shelling away his flamboyant image, he steps into the shoes of a righteous and fierce spy. His transformation feels organic.

Bhagyashree Borse plays the female lead. Though not given a much fleshed-out role, she makes her presence felt with sincere strength.

Anirudh Ravichander`s music adds a pulse-pounding intrigue, leaving fans anticipating. His score builds during vital scenes like the face-off during the climax.

What didn`t work?

While Vijay Dveerakonda owns the entire film, the storytelling boils down in the second half, as the climax struggles to deliver strong moments.

Final verdict

While Kingdom might not be the ideal spy drama that soars high on emotions, it definitely is a well-crafted effort and lays a solid foundation for second part.

Political thriller and action drama fans will have much to appreciate in this Vijay Deverakonda starrer, even if they wish for an extra emotional punch.
