20 Years of Jaan-E-Mann

The `Don` clash affected the box-office

The film suffered heavily at the box office because it released on the exact same festive weekend as Farhan Akhtar’s massive hit Don starring Shah Rukh Khan.

Anupam Kher`s dedication

Anupam Kher stayed on his knees throughout his scenes to portray a midget character named Boney Kapoor (Chachu).

Shirish Kunder`s multitasking

Shirish Kunder didn`t just direct the film; he also wrote the script and handled the film`s editing himself. A multitasker in true sense!

Akshay`s party rush

Akshay once rushed to a party after hearing a false rumor that Salman was getting cozy with Twinkle. He was actually just helping her after she got drunk.

Special cameos

Famous Indian cricketers—including Kapil Dev, Harbhajan Singh, Irfan Pathan, Mohammad Kaif, Ashish Nehra & Parthiv Patel—made brief guest appearances.

Lack of promotion

Industry reports noted that the film underperformed partly due to a lack of aggressive marketing and promotion by Salman Khan.

Inspiration source

The core storyline of the movie was inspired by the 2002 regional film Ninu Premistha.
