1. Intriguing Premise:
A Varanasi rom-com sees Ranjan (Rajkummar Rao) stuck in a time loop just before his wedding to Titli (Wamiqa Gabbi), blending love, faith, and temporal chaos.
2. The Core Conflict:
To marry Titli, jobless Ranjan must secure a government job. After prayer and bribery, he gets it, only to find himself reliving the day before his wedding.
3. Execution Falters:
Despite a novel idea, the film`s execution is poor. Both the time loop and love story are riddled with loopholes and inconsistencies, hindering engagement.
4. Rao Shines, Others Vary:
Rao delivers a stellar performance, a saving grace. Wamiqa Gabbi`s portrayal is often over-the-top, and the quirky supporting cast feels underutilised.
5. Direction & Writing Woes:
Direction feels disjointed and the writing undercooked. The film struggles with its many ideas, leading to a muddled narrative and preachy, moralistic tones.
6. Lifeless Love Story:
The central romance lacks chemistry, spark, and depth. It`s hard to root for the couple, with Titli`s motivations for loving Ranjan feeling outdated and weak.
7. Humour Falls Flat:
The film`s humour is often crass and forced, failing to land. Problematic, misogynistic lines further detract from any intended comedic relief.
8. Pacing Problems:
Narrative drags significantly, taking over an hour to establish its main conflict. This sluggish pacing makes it difficult for the audience to stay invested.

Despite Rao`s efforts, `Bhool Chuk Maaf` is a muddled and poorly executed film. It`s a bhool (mistake) best avoided to save your time and money.
