All Is Well -3 Idiots, 2009Sonu showed his magic in an out-and-out fun number which became a craze amongst the youngsters. The song and its lyrics All Is Well were also the theme of 3 Idiots. The film is one of the biggest hits in Bollywood.

Hum Hai Rahi Pyar Ke -Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, 2008It takes a master like Sonu to pull this one off with perfection. The difficult task in the song was the the singer had to shift tunes from an old song to that of the actual song.

Main Hoon Na -Main Hoon Na, 2004Another Sonu-Shah Rukh Khan combination that topped the charts. Sonu was aptly supported by Shreya Ghoshal in the song.

Kal Ho Na Ho -Kal Ho Na Ho, 2003Kal Ho Na Ho, a touching song which urges one to life live to the fullest, became a superhit number. Sonus way of reciting the song became the icing on the cake.

Saathiya -Saathiya, 2002Audience fell in love with Sonus performance in this soft romantic track that had Gulzars extra-creative lyrics and A R Rahmans memorable tunes.

Mera Rang De Basanti Chola -The Legend Of Bhagat Singh, 2002Another song that reinforced Sonus image as the most sought after singer. It spoke about the last moments of revolutionaries Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru. Sonu showed his magic especially in the high-pitched notes of the song. Manmohan Waris was Sonus co-singer in it.

Ab Mujhe Raat Din -Deewana -album 1998Sonu Nigams solo album Deewana became a big success. From all the songs, Ab Mujhe Raat Din stands out.

Tanhaai -Dil Chahta Hai, 2001Sonus masterful recitation of this painful song made sure it is reminicised even today. Composers Shankar Ehsan Loy and lyricist Javed Akhtar also deserve equal credit.

Zindagi Maut Na Ban Jaye -Sarfarosh, 1999Sonu touched peoples hearts with the song that describes the sorry state of India. Again Roop Kumar Rathod was Sonus co-singer. Even here, Sonu overshadowed him.

Satrangi Re -Dil Se, 1998Sonu did a brilliant job while singing a very difficult number which was written by Gulzar and composed by A R Rahman. Although Dil Se failed at the box-office, it is still remembered for its songs including Satrangi Re.

Yeh Dil Deewana -Pardes, 1997This fast romantic number featuring Shah Rukh Khan became a rage while Sonu started making his presence felt as a promising playback artist.

Sandese Aate Hain -Border, 1997Sonu sung this song along with Roop Kumar Rathod. The heart-touching patriotic melody that talks about the pain of Indian soldiers became one of the biggest reasons for the films success. When Sonu won numerous awards for this song, he was disappointed that Roop Kumar Rathod wasnt nominated for it. According to Sonu, Roop was equally responsible for the success of the song.
