Bollywoods favourite comic actor, Riteish Deshmukh, celebrates his birthday on December 17. Riteish often plays characters who are a bit goofy, innocent, or easily led into trouble, which contributes to the comedic nature of these films. He has a great screen presence, and his comedic timing is often praised. Here are 5 such films:

1. Dhamaal (2007)
He plays Deshbandhu Roy, a somewhat naive and gullible guy who is part of a group of four friends trying to find hidden treasure. He's often the butt of jokes but is also very loyal to his friends. This film is known for its slapstick humour and chaotic situations.
2. Housefull (2010)
In this multi-starrer comedy, Riteish plays Babu Rao, a friend of the main character, Akshay Kumar. Babu is a bit of a simpleton and often gets into trouble due to his clumsiness and misunderstandings. He provides a lot of the comic relief in the film.
3. Heyy Babyy (2007)
Riteish plays Tanmay Joglekar, also known as "Tanmay the Playboy." He's one of three bachelors whose lives are turned upside down when a baby is left on their doorstep. Tanmay is the flirtatious one of the group, and his character goes through a transformation as he learns to care for the baby.
4. Grand Masti (2013)
This is the sequel to Masti, where Riteish reprises his role as Amar Saxena. Amar is now married but still looking for excitement outside of his marriage with his two friends. This film is an adult comedy with suggestive humour and situations.
