Parched: Radhika, Surveen, Tanishtha, Leena snapped during press interactions
Parched is director Leena Yadavs third film after Shabd starring Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Sanjay Dutt and Teen Patti starring Amitabh Bachchan and Ben Kingsley. The movie has also been produced by Ajay Devgn.
Tanishhtha Chatterjee will be seen in the role of a widow who wants her son to get married.
Surveen Chawla will be seen in the role of a local dancer who is the fantasy of the men of her village.
Radhika Apte will be seen playing a childless woman who suffers domestic violence at the hands of her husband.
Parched is based in a village of north-western region of India, which still suffers from old, age-ridiculed traditions like forced child marriages and other social issues like financial difficulties, spousal and familial rape, and physically and emotionally abusive alcoholic husbands.
