1. Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam
The Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial was shot in the magnificent Vijay Valas Palace in Mandvi, Gujarat. The Salman Khan-Aishwarya Rai starrer also shows glimpses of rich Gujarati culture, like celebrating Makar Sankranti, the kite festival.Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam's song Dholi Taro Dhol Baje continues to be a go-to Garba song.
2. Kai Po Che
Kai Po Che marked the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput's Bollywood debut. The film was based on the Hindu-Muslim riots in Gujarat and was shot in places like Vadnagar, Ahmedabad, and Diu.In fact, the song Shubhaarambh is mostly sung in Gujarati to give the authentic garba feel.
