6 Movies that Aamir Khan Should Not have Done

The movie minted the bucks but Aamir practically ruined the franchise for us. Maybe his quest for perfection got in the way, but the movie contained little in terms of the thrills or the plot, both of which were present in the earlier two installments.

Ironical it is that the movie had The Rising in its title, because this one was way below than a downfall. Nothing about the historical 1857 revolt was explored in this yawn-inducing movie despite Aamirs sincerest efforts in his acting and styling.

This one is a major blot that cannot be undone, no matter what. How else can you explain Aamir Khan donning fishnet vests -which he probably borrowed from Yash Birla and mouthing the corniest lines. Also, who wouldve guessed that Twinkle Khanna could emerge from this debacle to turn into the successful writer that she is today.

Firstly, it was a frame-to-frame copy of the 1957 English classic, An Affair to Remember. Secondly, Aamir could not recreate the same magical chemistry with Manisha Koirala, which they earlier shared in Akele Hum Akele Tum. So what if that movie was also a true-blue copy of the 1979 English hit, Kramer vs Kramer starring Dustin Hoffman and Meryl Streep?

Would you believe that this was actually the first collaboration of Aamir with director Ashutosh Gowariker before the blockbuster, Lagaan? But then, what can you expect from a movie which also starred that Mamta Kulkarni?

Picture this. Aamir Khan as a snakecharmer. If that itself is unimaginable, imagine the trauma that his fans went through when this dud released. Out of the many beautiful movies that Aamir did along with Juhi Chawla, this one is a nightmare that both of them are yet to recover from.
