Swara Samrat Festival 2022 set to Enthrall Classical Music Fans in Kolkata

After a succesful edition at New Delhi earlier this year, the famed classical music festival Swara Samrat 2022 will move to Kolkata. Clebrating the centennial year of sarod maestro Ali Akbar Khan, Swara Samrat Festival 2022 will be held in 4 cites, New Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Bengaluru. The classical music festival is also celebrating its 10th year and will feature a host of stalwarts at the Kolkata edition. To be held at the popular Nazrul Mancha from 15-18 December, the Swara Samrat Festival have announced a stellar lineup .

Day 1 of the classical music festival will see Mohan Veena exponent Pt. Vishwa Mohan Bhatt with Pt. Subhen Chatterjee on the tabla, Ustad Rashid Khan with Pt. Swapan Choudhury on the tabla, on the sarangi and harmonium will be Murad Ali Khan and Vinay Mishra respectively and the closing act of the day will be violin legend Dr. L Subramaniam supported by Pt. Tanmoy Bose on the tabla.

Day 2 of the Swara Samrat Festival 2022 will see the likes of Pt. Tejendranarayan Majumder, vocalist Manjusha Patil, tabla exponent Pt. Samar Saha, sitarist Niladri Kumar aliong with tabla legend Zakir Hussain.

Days 3 of the Swara Samrat Festival in Kolkata will feature Omkar Dadarkar (Vocal), Sandip Ghosh (Tabla), Sarwar Hussain (Sarangi), Vidushi Kala Ramnath (Violin), Pt. Bickram Ghosh (Tabla), Ustad Alam Khan (Sarod), Pt. Yogesh Samsi (Tabla), Pt. Ulhas Kashalkar (Vocal), Pt. Kumar Bose (Tabla), Gourab Chatterjee (Harmonium), Guru Rama Vaidyanathan (Bharatanatyam).

On the final day of the SSF 2022 the stage will be shared byPt. Tarun Bhattacharya (Santoor), Pt. Kousic Sen (Tabla), Vidushi Malini Awasthi (Vocal), Pt. Arvind Kr. Azad (Tabla), Pt. Dharamnath Mishra (Harmonium), Pt. Anindo Chatterjee (Tabla Solo), Hiranmay Mitra (Harmonium). Allarakha Kalawant (Sarangi), Pt. Ajoy Chakrabarty (Vocal), Yashwant Vaishnav (Tabla), Pt. Hariprasad Chaurasia (Bansuri), Pt. Rakesh Chaurasia (Bansuri), Pt. Vijay Ghate (Tabla)

The Swara Samrat Festival will start from 5 PM on the first 2 days and omn the weekend from 2 PM.
