Reggae Band Big Mountain and Hip Hop Act Flipsyde to headline The Orange Festival

Dambuk, a quaint little village in the Lower Dibang Valley of Arunachal Pradesh is known for its oranges. Nature is at its purest here, away from the clamour of city life retaining the rustiness of the region. Orange orchards align hundreds of acres of mountain slopes making it a charming hamlet. Beyond the natural beauty of the place, Dambuk also serves as the venue for an orange-themed festival. The Orange Festival of Adventure and Music attracts people from all across the country. This year the Orange festival will be held from 15-18 December in Dambuk. The festival will include activities like hiking, camping, trekking, paragliding, zip lining along with great music. Orange Festival have announced a stellar lineup of artists who will perform on all the four days.

American reggae band Big Mountain known for remaking Peter Frampton's "Baby, I Love Your Way", which became a top 10 hit single in the US in early 1994 will headline the Orange Festival on 17 December. Alternative hip hop act Flipsyde will headline the festival on 18 December along with UK based band FUR and Malian singer and guitarist Boureima "Vieux" Farka Toureacute. Giving company to the international acts will be a host of homegrown artists including Kayan, T.ill Apes, Avial, Don Kam and more.

Orange Festival tickets start at INR 1,500. The nearest airport is Dibrugarh in Assam and about 185 km from the event location. However, travellers usually prefer to take the roadway via Lakhimpur and enjoy the varied landscape.
