Singer Benny Dayal is excited to perform at the Global Citizen Festival India, which will have Coldplay and Jay Z. He says it means a lot.

"Performing at this festival means a lot to me because there are so many musicians who have been and (have) become my heroes and inspirations," Benny told IANS.

The "Badtameez Dil" singer will be performing with musical group Medieval Punditz and musician Karsh Kale.

They have "been inspiring me musically for a decade or more now," Benny said.

The 32-year-old will be performing before rapper Jay Z, who has been an inspiration to Benny.

"Jay Z has been an inspiration to me because of his musical success and his capability to just walk into the studio and record a song without even having to write his lyrics on a piece of paper, and of course having the pleasure to be performing on the same stage as Jay Z and Coldplay... It doesn't get any better," he said.

The "Ude dil befikre" singer is happy that his mentor A.R. Rahman will be at the event too.
