Giving a contemporary spin to Ustad Ghulam Mustafa Khan’s original ghazal, music producer NIshant Nagar aka Khwaab and vocalist Divyam Sodhi offer an immersive listening experience by merging traditional Indian classical with ambient trance, in their upcoming collaboration, ‘Bohot Bechain’.

An emphasis upon pining for the love and affection of near and dear ones in times of despair, the song, an initial Ghazal was penned by an anonymous Urdu poet. But over the years, the song has acquired a cult following amongst Ghazal enthusiasts around the world. Now, Khwaab and DIvyam hope that the song will resonate amongst the younger minds which remains modern yet rooted to its Indian authenticity.

Khwaab last produced the stellar ‘Parchayi’ with singer/songwriter Raghav Meattle, while Divyam marks his indie debut with ‘Bohot Bechain’ after having acquired over a 1000 subscribers on his YouTube channel with cover renditions of popular Hindi and Punjabi songs.

‘Bohot Bechain’ will stream on Radio City Freedom and across other music streaming platforms from May 14, 2021 onwards.
