Quite a thought to wonder about because from the rushes and the incessant promotional campaigns that the film has generated, there is little or rather no buzz about 'Rock On 2', the sequel to the 2008 hit by the same name.Even though it manages to maintain most of its earlier starcast, the new movie also brings in the talent of Shraddha Kapoor, and the movie manages to be more of a showcase of the actress' singing prowess. Which is fairly decent considering that the actress is related to the evergreen Lata Mangeshkar ji.But otherwise, when it comes to the very essence of the franchise, the most disappointing factor of the film remains it dismal music by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy. Usually the best at the most unusual compositions, the trio who've received a lot of appreciation for their music in 'Mirzya' fail to create the very feel of the prequel with their new album. Not one song carries recall value.This leaves us with the same pertinent question. Will 'Rock On 2' be able to recreate the magik of its prequel? The box office will tell.
