National-Award winning actor and Padmashri recipient Vidya Balan will be next seen in the upcoming film, 'Sherni', which has been announced for a digital release on Amazon Prime Video in June.Sporting an olive green shirt on the poster of the film, Vidya will be seen playing a forest officer conflicted between animal preservation and human encroachment in the jungles of Central India. Written by Aastha Tiku, 'Sherni' has been directed by Amit Masurkar, who last helmed the National-Award winning film, 'Newton', starring Rajkummar Rao and Pankaj Tripathi.Produced by Abundantia Entertainment and T-Series, the film will also star Sharad Saxena, Neeraj Kabi, Mukul Chaddha, Vijay Raaz, Ila Arun and Brijendra Kala.Vidya was last seen in 'Shakuntala Devi', which was also produced by Abundantia Entertainment and streamed on Amazon Prime Video.
