Siddhant Mishra’s Is Qadar tugs your heartstrings making you want to sway

Updated on: 09 September, 2020 12:00 PM IST |

Diametrically opposite of his last release, ‘Roothey Hue’, Siddhant Mishra’s latest single, ‘Is Qadar’ sweeps you off your feet with its innocence that is reminiscent of happy-go-lucky love songs from the late 90s or early 2000s. Handling vocals, songwriting and production together, Mishra’s electro-pop act witnesses a meeting of influences from Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, Amit Trivedi and even A.R Rahman. What’s more impressive is Mishra’s expansion in terms of experimenting with genres besides his consistent vocal prowess. While ‘Roothey Hue’ was woven through somber acoustics, ‘Is Qadar’ sees the musician sample more instruments. Easy, poetic and sprightly, for the lack of a better word, ‘Is Qadar’ will immensely make you long for the one you love. And if they are with you, you might want to grab them and start jigging away. ‘Is Qadar’ is now streaming on Radio City Freedom.
