Radio City 91.1 FM turned seventeen on July 3rd, 2018. To celebrate their anniversary, the radio station alongwith revered singer Armaan Malik, brought the station’s premier property, Gig City to the kids at the Happy Home and School for the Blind.
RJ Salil and RJ Archana hosted the ‘Kaano Se Dekho Aur Dil Se Suno’ concert that saw Armaan perform to his select chartbusters followed by a performance by students of the school, who sang ‘Main Rahoon Ya Na Rahoon’, one of the singer’s most acclaimed songs. The idea of the concert was conceived from the belief that visually impaired people experience music more deeply than we do. Hence, the audience was blindfolded allowing them to experience and feel music from the heart. Armaan also joined the students during their performance, thereby giving them a memory to cherish for a lifetime.
Speaking about his association with the event, Armaan said, “Music is meant to be felt through all senses and it touches the soul of the listeners. The whole concept of GIGCity and ‘Kaano se Dekho, Dil se Suno concert’ is for the audience to hear and feel the beauty of music. It’s a great initiative by Radio City. I’m glad I am performing for these amazing kids and I feel blessed to get the opportunity to touch their little hearts through my songs.”
Armaan will also helm Gig City Season 3, this weekend, across India on Friday, July 6th, 7pm to 9pm.
