After all that it has been through, the Kangana Ranaut-starrer 'Manikarnika' is all-set to treat viewers to the valiant and brave story of Rani Lakshmibai of Jhansi. The makers of the film dropped its trailer, earlier this afternoon, and boy is our Queen all-set to light our box-office with her valour and grace.Letting her swords do the talking, Kangana portrays the femininity and grit of Jhansi's most celebrated and historical queen who went to all ends to protect her kingdom from the evil British troops. 'Manikarnika' traces the story of Rani Lakshmibai from being a young princess, to becoming a mother and then a feared warrior and Kangana plays every bit to the gallery. She is ably supported by an ensemble of fine actors including Jisshu Sengupta, Ankita Lokhande, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Atul Kulkarni and Danny Denzongpa.The story has been penned by V. Vijayendra Prasad who has written the award-winning scripts of 'Baahubali' and 'Bhaag Milkha Bhaag'. The dialogues and lyrics are credited to Prasoon Joshi while Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy will render the music of the film.Directed by Ranaut and Radha Krishna Jagarlamudi, 'Manikarnika' releases in cinemas on January 25th. 2018.Watch the trailer below
