Before we begin raving about how good a trailer is ‘Dream Girl’, we have a very strange request to the National Award winning actor of the moment, Ayushmann Khurrana? Can he please impart some of his wisdom to his peers? For everyone around him could take cues on how to sense a good script.
After wowing us with his stellar act in ‘Article 15’ earlier this year, Ayushmann is back with an extremely hilarious comedy of errors that promises us laughs throughout. ‘Dream Girl’ is the story of Ayushmann who stars as Dream Girl, the only male helpline executive in a female-dominant organization, who poses as Pooja. Pooja’s voice and words seduce her callers which include a local cop (played by Vijay Raaz) a Haryanvi gujjar boy (played by Abhishek Banerjee of ‘Stree’ fame), and his girlfriend (played by Nushrat Bharucha)’s brother (played by Raj Bhansali)
The film also gives fans enough reasons to cheer as ‘Dream Girl’ also reunites Ayushmann with his ‘Vicky Donor’ co-star Annu Kapoor as his father. Writer and actor Nidhi Bisht of The Viral Fever fame also makes her mainstream debut in the film. Rajesh Sharma stars as the owner of the call-centre Dream Girl works at.
Directed by Raaj Shandilya, who recently wrote the screenplay and dialogues for ‘Jabariya Jodi’, the film promises to be a laugh-every-second caper.
Produced by Shobha Kapoor and Ekta Kapoor, the film releases on September 13, 2019
