One of the most talented Indian cricketers, Yuzvendra Chahal, has yet again attracted controversy, and this time, it is off the field. His divorce rumours with wife Dhanashree Verma have been all over the internet. The couple have been rather tight-lipped on the same.
The couple, who tied the knot in 2020, is speculated to seek a divorce amid the rumours of them having an affair, thus wanting to end their marriage. Earlier, the choreographer penned down a long note, asking fans to not believe the rumours.
Now, a new angle has taken over the Yuzvendra Chahal-Dhanashree Verma divorce news. Some reports suggest the cricketer might end up paying a hefty amount as alimony post their separation.

The couple, who used to post mushy, PDA-filled pictures on social media, is getting a divorce. And if reports are to be believed, they are already staying apart. While Dhanashree is reportedly being linked with another choreographer, Chahal continues to be silent about his personal life.
Some reports suggest the Indian spinner might have to pay Rs. 60 crore in alimony to his wife after their divorce. However, there is no credible confirmation of their divorce yet.

Chahal took to social media on Thursday and shared a rather cryptic post addressing the ongoing speculations about his personal life. Without mentioning Dhanashree`s name, he pointed out that "certain posts might not be true."

“I understand the curiosity surrounding recent events, particularly about my personal life. However, I have noticed certain social media posts speculating on matters that may or may not be true. As a son, a brother, and a friend, I humbly request everyone not to indulge in these speculations, as they have caused immense pain to me and my family,” he wrote.

The leg spinner also expressed gratitude to his fans and shared his commitment to cricket and the country.
He further added, “I am grateful to all my fans for their unwavering love and support. This journey is far from over! There are still many incredible overs left to deliver for my country, my team, and my fans.”
As of now, neither Yuzvendra Chahal nor Dhanashree Verma has officially confirmed their separation. The spinner will next be seen playing in the Premier League for Punjab.
