To celebrate this day with laughter and joy, here are some of Bollywood's top timeless comedy films that are sure to bring a smile to your face.


Hera Pheri (2000)

Starring Bollywood's best comic trio of Paresh Rawal, Akshay Kumar, and Suniel Shetty, 'Hera Pheri' is a hilarious saga of three broke individuals attempting to profit from a risky deal. It is the first installment of the Hera Pheri franchise, of which the second film was released in 2006. Both films are remembered for their excellent dialogue, perfect comic timing, and engaging plots.

Welcome (2007)

Welcome is one of the most beloved Bollywood films, starring Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif, Nana Patekar, and Anil Kapoor in lead roles. The movie tells the story of a simple family who becomes entangled with a criminal family run by two brothers after their nephew falls in love with the dons' sister. This movie is a must-watch for fans of the genre. Welcome features excellent plot twists and hilarious scenes, with Paresh Rawal, Feroz Khan, and Mallika Sherawat in supporting roles.


Dhamaal (2007)

The movie features Riteish Deshmukh, Arshad Warsi, Javed Jaffrey, and Ashish Chaudhary as a group of friends searching for a dead man's fortune while being pursued by a relentless cop portrayed by Sanjay Dutt. The story takes place on the scenic route to Goa, where the four friends and the cop compete to reach the money first. The film includes cameos by actors Sanjay Mishra, Vijay Raaz, Manoj Pahwa, and Vinay Apte, who deliver some of the most hilarious and memorable scenes.

Bhool Bhulaiyya (2007)

Bhool Bhulaiyya is a horror comedy film directed by Priyadarshan and starring Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, and Shiney Ahuja. The movie follows a psychiatrist, played by Akshay Kumar, who is called in to investigate the strange and seemingly supernatural events occurring in a mansion. In addition to the main cast, actors such as Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, and Rasika Joshi deliver some of the best comedic performances of all time. The third film of the Bhool Bhulaiyya franchise is currently in production, starring Kartik Aaryan and Tripti Dimri in the lead roles, along with Vidya Balan from the original movie.

Golmaal: Fun Unlimited (2006)

This film is the first of four movies in the Golmaal franchise, featuring Ajay Devgn, Tusshar Kapoor, Arshad Warsi, and Sharman Joshi in lead roles. The movie presents a group of four financially struggling friends attempting to deceive an elderly blind couple portrayed by Paresh Rawal and Sushmita Mukherjee. Rimi Sen also appears in a supporting role.
