Jacqueline Fernandez Says Actresses Posting Bikini Pictures Is Empowering
Jacqueline Fernandez will celebrates her 40th birthday today. While she was last seen in the the multi-starrer Housefull 5, it has been a while since the actress has had a bona fide hit.
Apart from being a splendid actor, Jacqueline is also known to be opinionated about many serious issues, including feminism. Let us take you back to the time when the Kick actress opened up about normalizing actresses wearing bikinis and posting pictures in them.
In an exclusive interview with Radio City, she broke her silence on the internet trolls that actresses receive, especially when they post pictures of themselves in a bikini.

It all started during the promotions of her movie Judwaa 2, which also featured Varun Dhawan and Taapsee Pannu. The trio visited Radio City to talk about their movie with RJ Archana Pania. This was the time when Taapsee shut down a troll with her witty humor. This was again received on the bikini picture she posted.
When asked about the mindset of internet trolls, Jacqueline had a strong opinion about it. She channeled her inner feminist, and her response to the question will win your heart.
"I think people`s judgments and opinions are very selective about what suits them. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but in this case, it is better if they keep it to themselves. If you`re so vocal on the subject of empowering modern-day women and feminism, don`t you think a lady should be able to wear a bikini if she wants to? That is what we`re looking for—equal rights," said Jacqueline.

Adding more to that, Varun Dhawan spoke about why these trolls deserve the least attention, let alone replying to their comments.
He said, "I love how Taapsee replied to the comment in a light-hearted and witty manner. She didn`t get aggressive and lose her cool. The problem arises when somebody trolls you and you troll them back; you should not get aggressive in that situation. Aapko importance deni hi nahi chahiye uss insaan ko (You shouldn`t give importance to that troller)."
Taapsee Pannu then said, "If you retaliate to anger with more aggressiveness, riots will begin in the country."
