War 2: Jr NTR Thinks "South Indians Have Doubts" On Being Accepted In Bollywood

Jr NTR thanks Hrithik Roshan for welcoming him warmly to Bollywood
The anticipation for War 2 has left fans and cinephiles waiting with bated breath. Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR`s unexpectedly dazzling pairing has already raised stakes. Adding to the same is Kiara Advani`s fiercely sensational character.
The Ayan Mukerji directorial, which releases on August 14, marks NTR`s entry into Hindi cinema. It is expected to have a major showdown with Rajinikanth`s Coolie.
Ahead of the film`s release, the Telugu superstar opened up about making his Bollywood debut and the hesitation he had before saying yes to the action drama and thanked his co-star Hrithik Roshan for a small but moving gesture.
Jr NTR on making his Bollywood debut
Speaking at a pre-release event on August 10 in Hyderabad, the RRR actor candidly addressed his initial apprehensions of entering the Hindi film industry. He has previously worked with Bollywood actors but not in an out-and-out Bollywood film.

“I come from South India, and thanks to SS Rajamouli for erasing many boundaries between South and North, which are just films. But every South Indian has a doubt: ‘Kya accept karenge yeh log?’ Thank you for accepting me with wide and open arms, and for that beautiful hug you gave me on the first day. This is not a movie about NTR going into Hindi cinema, but Hrithik equally coming into Telugu cinema," the actor said.

Jr NTR recalled the five days of working closely with Hrithik Roshan on the sets of War 2 and called it an invaluable experience. He added, “I have learnt a lot from Hrithik and often see myself in him… I can’t wait to get back on set with him."
Kiara Advani, who recently welcomed her first child with Sidharth Malhotra, did not attend the event.
Jr NTR praises director Ayan Mukerji
The Devara star also showered praises on the filmmaker and shared his experience of being directed by Mukerji. He called Ayan the perfect choice for War 2.
“Ayan has spent sleepless nights carving this visual extravaganza. Thank you for being a guiding force. As I promised you, 2025 will have another blockbuster from this country, and his name is going to be Ayan Mukerji," NTR shared.
War 2 will see a theatrical release on August 14.
